    twister arm bar

Seems like cervical locks are against the rules in many events around us. I find getting to twister/baseball bat control fairly easy. I want a finish that is not a cervical lock.I have seen Eddie mention the arm bar from twister before real quickly in a MTS. I have been really trying to make this a 90% submission for me without much progress for a year of working on it. I can only get the tap 20% of the time even with it sunk in. Seems the locked arm needs to be just right for the correct angle of tweak. Never seen a real lesson on this. Anybody know of vid for finer details? Anybody have this in thier game for a 90% finish that can vid for me? I might be missing something for an ah-ha moment.Thanks.

I like the bouncer to rnc combo when twisters are illegal. The calf crush and hip manipulation may be legal as well. Check the rules meeting.

Get the Mastering the Twister book. The Scissors lock and the bouncer are money in that situation. I also like hitting the RNC while keeping the grapvine.

The Bouncer and the Scissors are fantastic. I like the scissors especially when they pin their head to the mat to prevent you from getting your arm around their head for the twister. If the scissors fails, the bouncer is right there.

Worked on bouncer reps last night, seems like it will work except if the opponent is super strong. I am not very strong, I usually need more leverage than just muscling with my arms. We are working more conventional stuff in rolling, preparing guys for MMA fight April 7th, so I did not hit the twist in full speed last night. I'll be sure and persue this in the month to come. I don't know what the scissors is!!!

Yes, my straight arm lock usually turns into a Mir Lock type lock that I can't twist far enough, hold tight enough to finish as they twist and wiggle to get out. Kinda like finishing the mir lock with closed guard. Frank moves to open guard and pushes away on the opponent.

Thanks for all the advice, I have some additional game to work on, hopefully get this to 40-50% success by no-gi comp April 22nd!!

I know this is an old thread, but are the any videos or even posts that describe these? In my searching, I found a thread with someone having a win with the bouncer, but the video is marked private and I can't watch it!
