I need a dead serious opinion from SERIOUS MUSICIANS!!!

Ok, I know we joke & jank on eachother ALOT on here but I need some honesty with no bullshit!!! I am in a mainstream Hardrock band who's Influenced mostly by Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, & Karnivool... Mainstream really isnt my cup of tea but it pays WAY better... We need a name!!! We have already discussed that it CANNOT be Marajuanna or drug related because we have two guys in our band who are Police Officers!!! If this was a metal or a punk band (which I'm more into) there wouldn't be a problem and my creative juices would be flowing... But since I don't normally play or even listen to this genera of music (for the most part) I'm kinda dumbfounded... Need some help guys!!! Suggestions???

make sure the name you pick doesnt have a history to it..one of the many bands i know,didnt check and there had been a band with the same name a few hours away...while now disbanded was known for causeing trouble and some of the music venues thought it was the same guys and wouldnt let them thru the door,,,

Damn... Yea, we definately wanna play it safe when it comes to originality!!! Thank you for the advice.. However, I was more or less trying to get some ideas/inspiration on some band name suggestions...

i know you want name sugestions...just letting you know thre are other things to consider...i bounced at a music venue for 3 years...i also bartended ,DJ'd and also promoted a few shows...ive dealt wit punk,rock,metal.deathmetal....put alot of thought into it before you commit to it...make sure its not hard to pronounce, one band i know named hephystus,,everyone kept fucking the name up and it haunts them to this day. make it something rememerable

Well, it can't be too silly, juvenile, or unrecognizable. Naming a band is one of the most difficult things to do (trust me, I know). I've recently named my new project "Majestic 12" after the organization formed to investigate UFO's by the US government decades ago. Perhaps something that you're interested in or read regularly? That could provide some inspiration.
