10P Kid Against the World!!!

We have one of our elite competition kids headed to Pan Kids today and they looked at the competition and he's the only 10P kid there. Granted, it's a Gi comp, but thought it was the coolest thing to be the only one going up against all the major Gi schools. Here's the stats...GB has over 130 competitors and Atos/AOJ has around 110, they are the largest; followed by Checkmat and a few other big name schools. 10P has 10yr old Josh Crago...here he is getting ready to board. Please throw a shout out on here to show him some love as he goes against some of the best kids out there!

What division is he in? what belt? Cora did Pan Kids 2 years in a row and there was only 1 girl to fight. So we are sitting out this year and maybe a couple more years also, give time for more girls to turn Orange. Reason is that at Orange belt, there isn't any girl her size besides the one girl. Just too much time and money to go compete against 1 girl. I do hope your boy has a stacked division. Good luck and have fun.

He's a Green/White Belt. I'll update as info comes along, he doesn't compete until Sunday. So if anyone is there, let me know...he'd love to meet anyone he can from the 10P family.

Green/white?? I'm not too familiar with that belt system. IBJJF is white, grey, yellow, orange, green for the kids.

Sorry...kids ranks are crazy, but IBJJF he's competing in Junior 2/Grey/Rooster.

OH ok that make more sense. Well he will hold claim to being the 1st kid to use rubber guard at an IBJJF event... At grey belt, he should have plenty of matches.

Josh's first opponent was DQ'd for being overweight, won his second match 4-0 with x guard and a triangle battle, and lost is semi-finals match 0-0 with the other kid having 2 advantage points. They were in an inverted berimbolo fight for most of the match. In the end, he won Bronze and the kid that beat him went on to win the Gold...Josh would have beaten the kid that got Silver too. He's on the podium throwing up the 10 right now!
