Ok, been really working my lock down and have an awesome success rate. It keeps getting better and better against everyone but one person, my instructor.(he's a purple belt) He's 25-30 lbs smaller than me but damn strong. When I get the lock down he doesn't even do any traditional escapes like buttox compressor, he just keeps flexing his leg straight and hips on the mat to the opposite side of my lockdown. If I try to whip he is able to keep my lockdown on the mat, I can't elevate him at all. I try whipping with my legs to at least get to my hip but he's able to keep my legs stuck to the ground. Any fixes or should I abandon and try something different?
