Ok, So I found out a few months ago I have an impinged hip (both sides) and at the least a torn labrum on my strong side which I use for rubber guard. Here's what I'm asking is it common for this type of injury due to the stretching or in my case too much stretching or improper stretching (while cold)? If so has anyone gotten surgery to help correct and resolve the situation? Also, if you have how long did it take to recover from the surgery to get back at it? I'm definitely accident prone when it comes to jiu jitsu but this one couldn't have happened at a worse time where I finally felt my guard game getting stronger and my overall movement too. Thank you in advance for any advice and input on this.
