This is a question mainly for Eddie, but I figured I would ask in a thread rather than AMA so that other people might have ideas, and to keep from polluting that thread.

Eddie, after watching the Flat Earth podcast and your appearances on infowars, you are clearly very focued on the fake space images from NASA. You say things like "come back to the fake photos, explain that".

I agree with you the photos are fake and NASA is full of shit. But how do you go from that to the conclusion that they are fake because they are hiding the fact the Earth is flat? That's a logical jump, a detective would want to avoid that kind of leap in logic.

One reason the photos are fake could be to hide flat earth from us. Or, maybe consider two other possible reasons:

Maybe NASA can't get their gear to work far enough away from Earth to get pictures. Maybe they are just hiding the fact that they've never been high enough in orbit to get a full picture of the Earth?

Maybe any pictures taken of Earth from space are immediately classified for obvious reasons and never released to the public.

To me, those two potential answers make a lot more sense than a 500 year old conspiracy to hide the fact that the Earth is flat.

Anyway, I just don't see a strong connection between NASA bullshit and the Earth being flat. Does it seem to you there is a bit of a leap there?

Dude, NASA is soooooo full of shit. I don't believe a word those guys say. If you watch all those moon landing videos and photos and don't think it's a total crock of shit then I don't know what to say... it's blatantly obvious they are fake. They are laughable.

I'm also pretty sure Eddie's students are not "yes men". In fact I would be willing to bet that in general 10p members are drastically more open minded than the average BJJ student. And PLENTY of 10p do not believe any of the conspiracies Eddie does.

And as far as Eddie being a Master of Life, I think he's a pretty good model for someone who has his shit together. His friends all seem to love him dearly and he seems to treat them very well. He's very respectful of pretty much everyone, at least from what I've seen. He's a very successful entrepreneur. I personally believe there is only 1 man in the modern history of Jiu Jitsu who is more revolutionary, and that's Helio. He's seems to have a genuine love and dedication to his family. He's funny, positive, and joyful.

You think because he thinks some shit is true that you and most people don't agree with, that's he's a bad model of how a human should live? If that's the case then I think you put WAY too much value in what ideas a person believes are true.

You are concerned for him? Lol... dude, come down off that high-horse for a minute and think about what's important in life.

I am also worried about Eddie, I don't know him and I don't want to offend him either so its a really tricky situation.

I know this isn't directly related to what you are saying but the big questions I come back to is, Why does every country lie about the earth being round? They all must know about it, if the earth is flat, so why is china, russia, australia, the UK and america all in agreeance on this one crazy idea. Why does every student who is studying astrophysics and physics lie or go along with the lie? Quite a few of them would figure out that the earth would be flat if it is flat and then they would tell people and it would be known by everyone. Also what about pilots and sailors, are we to believe they are all in on the lie? They are all keeping the secret? For what reason?

Do you know what I mean? Like, your telling me tens of thousands of students every year are studying this and no one has figured out the earth is flat?

These questions are not really directed at anyone. I kind of feel bad for saying them because I don't want to hurt anyones feelings.

I'd be more likely to believe in Flat Earth than Super-Jesus.

I haven't seen any evidence of Eddie treating people poorly because they don't believe what he believes. I know he said he gets frustrated and I hear what you are saying Michael Steinmetz and agree with you that if he did treat people poorly because they disagree with him that would not be cool, but we can't assume that is what will happen or is happening without evidence.

Similar to how we can't believe the earth is flat without evidence and proof.

Again I totally get what you are saying and agree with you, but I just don't think its a worry you should have until someone comes out and says they had a bad run in with the guy.

I see your point Jason Mallory, that is true that they are using a fish eye lense. So the solutions to that problem are 1.They need to use a regular lensed camera 2. They need to find a way to get the rocket much much higher 3. It would be a good idea if they were to launch the rocket from another continent closer to the "edge" of the world so we could see if the world has an "end"

Another option would be what someone suggested was to circle the earth on a plane and video tape that. I am unsure if that is possible as I do not know the laws behind airspace and the cost involved but that would be a solution.

How scary would that be for someone who believed the earth was flat, like when they get close to the "edge" they would be freaking out like oh shit we are going to die!!!

flying "around the world" would tell you nothing. Works fine in both models. You would just need to fly over Antarctica. Say, from South America to Australia.

Another way is to get in a boat and sail around Antarctica. If Earth is really a disk, it's going to take you LONGER than it would to circumnavigate the globe. It would be the longest sea journey you could take around the world.
