It is pretty embarrassing if one doesnt understand it well enough that he'll misapply it and appear foolish. There's a very significant difference between being playful with familiar energies, with intent and permission on both sides - and being strong enough to directly attack the heart energy, successfully doing so requires an astronomical level of cultivation. Not to mention, its basically a killing maneuver.
That's why the kiai master or whatever discipline he was, really didnt understand the difference between being familiar with his students energy and something serious - it seemed like he thought he could use the same sort of thing just much more powerfully, failed miserably.
A lot of that stuff does really look fake with the masters tossing their students about and such...but I assure you that is real and doesnt take a shit ton of cultivation on the students part to become enough of a resonator, as it were. In those schools that's almost like the graduation from beginner is being able to...eh...'hear/feel' whatever those frequencies are. (Would not have believed it if I did not personally experience it, no fkn way do those videos appear real at all, until you've experienced such a thing, then you go..yeah, I know what that feels like...)
