If you talking about when you are already setting up the twister with baseball bat control, then what Phil said is correct although I use the term “lotus” to describe the position of the legs.
If your lockdown is straightened out, it’s stiff and easier to break open. So pull both of your knees outward while keeping them as close as you can to the ground. Your feet tend to go under the opposite knee.
People can still kick out but it’s a lot harder to pull off now. We will often straighten the legs back out while we go for the finish to add a little extra something to the submission.
