    Troubleshooting lockdown

    So my question is, I have been having loads of trouble whipping up heavy opponents. I weigh about 145. And the guys I roll with usually weigh around 200, so my question is should I abandone trying to use the lockdown or can i modify the position to better obtain sweeps? Or should I also hit the weights a little bit? Lol.

    Bro, just keep drilling it and it will come.
    Make sure you are using your legs and core to whip up rather than your arms. If you are really struggling then don't try and whip them up over you, just try to get them to move a little and base out so you can move to the back or dogfight. ✌

    Lockdown and RG are long term projects. You’ll get smashed at first, but keep at it.

    Use the Angry Rainbow for bigger opponents...hasnt failed me yet.

    It's whipping the lockdown I think? You pull their leg and hips up and then whip them side to side?

    If they start to lose their balance and have to post to avoid the sweep, I think you'll be able to dipset.

    But let me know if I have any of that wrong.

    Herzog showed me the angry rainbow at an East Coast training camp. in your lockdown shoot your legs straight in the air your where your feet are toward the ceiling and make an arc motion to the underhook side. I do believe as Joshua said it is a repetitive action.
