We teach Krav Maga at my gym but I dont fuck with it. To be honest with you I dont have the time to learn a new martial art at this time. I think it is great as self defense/fitness. It is very popular in the area where my gym is. You have to look at the region where this was created. That region has been fighting a never ending holy so there was a need for something for the military. Years later it was popularised and now it is everywhere just like all the other martial arts. If you are a fighter and you train muay thai, boxing, wrestling, jiu jitsu you are ahead of the game but anything can happen. I believe it has a purpose, just as I believe there is no one style that needs to be trained over another. If you want self defense take a class but just keep this in mind its hard to choke a dude out when he is stabbing or shooting you. Jiu Jitsu is my passion but I have been around long enough to know that there is no golden solution. Train what you can and come up with a style that works best for you.
