My girlfriend trains on and off. She actually took me to my first intro lesson a few years ago. It's nice to roll together, it helps you work on technique, when you don't have to worry about being overpowered.. She is too easy to twister roll though, and sometimes her hair gets caught, but those be the breaks.

My fiancé is RW Pegau of 10th planet Spokane. He has taught me jiu jitsu. I still train under him. It’s awesome for us because it’s a huge commonality between us. We used to not be able to roll. I had a hard time separating him tapping me out and our personal relationship. I personally love it.
Jealousy isn’t an issue. I used to have a hard time seeing him roll with other women. Jiu Jitsu isn’t sexual, so once I was able to look past is and get past the emotional bullshit. Everything was great.

I think you're right, everybody is different, but most of us won't do it again!
