Rolled Up #27 Never-Ending Path of a Martial Artist with Tim Cartmell

Tim's a really interesting and talented guy. Lived in China for 10+ years studying Chinese martial arts then got his BB in BJJ under Cleber.
    Topics include:

    -Going to China to train
-The value of traditional martial arts
-The importance of keeping an open mind
    -TECHNIQUE: Side control attacks
    -The point of training
    -What is groundproofing?

    Watch it!

Thanks so much for all the "Rolled Up" episodes, i love watching them!

This was by far the greatest rolled up yet. I didn't know who he was before this, so I was a little reluctant to watch it but I was very impressed by his philosophy. Whenever someone gets interviewed about BJJ philosophy, they are always unsure of what they're talking about or seem to not be able to put it into words very well but Tim Cartmell said everything perfectly without trying to be "mystical" and abstract to the point where you're half confused as to what they're talking about. “If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough” and Tim knows it well enough. Thanks again, Jake.

Thanks for the feedback Justin. I'm glad you got that out of the show. There's so much clarity and intelligence in the way Tim speaks - and he can back it up. Awesome guy.
