I reported it, as I do the MMA NEWS with BJPenn.com. I talked to James Toney and his management and they confirmed the fight to me. The other reports like on Bloody Elbow, etc, are just running off our story.

what the fuck? i hate both guys with all my heart. it upsets me greatly that one of these guys will be considered a "winner" of the fight. hopefully something happens where neither guy leaves the cage happy. maybe a dumb DQ or something absurd happens.

I would say the Tonya Harding/Paula Jones (was it?) boxing match several yrs ago kinda ranked up there (or down depending on how u look at it). Also anytime North Korea and South Korea make fun of each other, or when Egypt gets mad that tends to make me wonder too.

I actually want to see Toney fight again, the guy talked so much smack (almost Chael Sonnen-esque) so I wanted to see if he'd work on his ground game and low kicks some more after The Natural tooled on him. As for Shamrock I haven't seem him since the WWE days, would love to see what kind of shape he's in. Would I pay $50 for a ticket to see this? Prob not, but for $3-$20 I'm negotiable (with a nice beer and snack and recorder to kick back on).

I don't know all the details just yet on the rules, or venue. We just talked to Frank Shamrock a few minutes ago about the fight, and other things MMA related, UFC/SF, etc. Some good stuff that'll be up on BJPenn.com in a bit.
