Technical question if you don't mind? In no-gi, where do you grab with your right hand in place of the belt/jacket/sleeve, assuming you have a left DLR hook inserted? I'm alternating between hooking my fingers in the hip line and grabbing the wrist, which I've seen Jeff Glover use to great success. I'm doing a couple hours private with the Mendes Bros no-gi in August, and I'll get their opinion on it and be sure to report it back here

I think an underrated move from the De La Riva no gi is the back take when the guy is standing you strecth out the inserted leg, swing the other shin/ankle behind the knee and kick out the legs for the back take, I have the most success with that move

I had to reach a bit for this. According to the people that use it the most like Mendes Bros, Cobrinha, Caio Terra, and Samuel Braga, the "Beijo Dragao/Kiss of the Dragon" (reverse berimbolo) from Spiral Guard/reverse De La Riva guard, is a much better option for no-gi, and is much more common.

Rafa Mendes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFe7dW2DmDU#t=0m25s (This is one where Rafa rolls halfway through and comes to the single. He did it a lot in 2009.)

Cobrinha did one at the last ADCC but it's not on youtube or vimeo. Rafa Mendes had one coming to the leg drag position at last ADCC against Robson and against Cobrinha. I think I saw one from Gianni Grippo at the No Gi Worlds at brown. I'll try to find it. There were a lot from random people at the No Gi Worlds last time. Hope these help some. Oddly the Mendes bros often teach the bermbolo no-gi to show the principles of it better.

My right hand grabs the thigh/hip. That's is assuming I have my left DLR hook in.

On mginaction.com Marcelo shuts down all the berimbolo and de la riva/spiral stuff with such simple moves, love how he doesn't over think stuff
