All this talk of injuries in the other thread inspired me to post this vid of my roommate's knee injury at the Judo tournament we went to this past weekend.

He doesn't know the full extent of the injury yet, will find out when he gets an MRI on Friday morning

Looks like a failed Uchi mata did him in. The way he fell probably gonna be the MCL. That is unfortunate about your friend, Judo is a rough martial art/sport.

yeah you're right he said exactly that, went for the uchimata and was readjusting to try for it again when got countered with a tani otoshi executed with the other guy's his weight on the lower leg

Damm that looked like it hurt, Feeling his pain(sorta).
Here is me at NAGA VEGAS this year. first match. Accidentally verbal tapped myself after hearing a big pop sound in the RG.
Did not realize it came from my knee at first or me at all. Didn't hurt at all until 11pm when it swelled up big time, could not walk for a 2 days. Still cant do any rubber guard on my left side. going to have to relearn on the right side now. On the edge of RG withdrawls and depression.
