As soon as he passes, he's settin up the n/s choke. Gregor knows this and defends it 100%. Marcelo then decides to transition into twister side and look to mount. Gregor stays tight the whole time and Marcelo still manages to settle his hips. Gets mount twice from this. All this opens Gregor up for the inevitable n/s. And he knew it was comin. Everyone knew it was comin. Damn..

Ha yeah I remember noticing this too. I'm not on Marcelo's level though so tip toe mount is fine by me. In fact I love tip toe mount. Maybe it's just me, but I think it looks badass to mount via tip toe mount.

It would have been hard to tip toe mount because he settled his hips and smashed his frame. Perfect t/s is sitting on the bicep smashing the face. Tip toe all day from here. But when he has a strong frame, that cant be beat, hips settle the near frame, then a well timed axe kick to the far hip.

My point here is that 10p is every where, and many people drill these effective techs. But Eddie systemized it. Analyzed every defense and found an option.
My biggest pet peave is that 10p is when someone grabs there foot or leg, even shittilly(word), thats the only thing recognized as 10p. Its a complete ground system. -Takedowns, but hey, he's a specialist
