    You can do it from back mount, I just really like it when guys are trying to tripod and they are focused on pulling the hook out, its easier to get them to commit to grabbing the foot. I also transition to the same triangle when I have someones back belly up.

    I like the triangle from back mount a lot. The variation I learned you use a kimura grip on the side you are going to triangle. When you throw the leg over you switch the hand to grab the ankle(the same way Zog did) but keep wrist control and pull the arm across. It works really well when you have back control and are on your back.

    I'm going to try Zog's version the next time a guy tripods.
