Finally got that ADCC Gold! I actually think Cobrinha has the better no-gi pedigree.

    Rafa Mendes: 2 ADCC Gold ('09, '11). 1 ADCC Silver ('13).

    Cobrinha: 1 ADCC Gold. ('13). 2 ADCC Silver ('09, '11). 4 No Gi Worlds Gold ('07, '08, '11, '12). No Gi Pans Gold ('08).

    -------------------------------------------

I watched most of the matches from yesterday besides the absolutes and some from the first day, anyway some thoughts

The finals matches were not good, I guess you can't pull in the finals? Made the matches really bad wrestling and judo matches, I really was looking forward to some amazing ground work and didn't get it in the finals

If you train you need to learn heel hooks, so many matches ended by them

Big Rafa fan, but against Cobrinha he plays it to safe, Cobrinha imposed his will more and probably should have won earlier but didn't get takedown points

Joao Miyao dominanted the action and pace against Radar and lost because of the guard pulls, Radar did nothing but defend and disengage while Miyao almost had his back multiple times

Keenan should have beat Barral, but I believe he lost with a guard pull, Keenan is a beast

Galvao may be the best No Gi right now, amazing match with Estima

Kron is a straight killer, all sub wins, Souza wanted nothing to do with him and the guillotine waa so fast after Souza finally did something, would have loved to see Kron do the absolute

I will post some more later after I get to watch some absolute matches if I find some

Oh, the set up was an embarrassment, the mats splitting, guys falling in the hardwood, no crowd, was not what this event should be IMO, looks like they mailed it in

Buchecha looked gassed in the absolute final, Cyborg got some takedowns, passed easily multiple times, when Buchecha did shoot Cybrog stuffed him easily, great win for Cyborg
