That's sooooooooo much better than belly up back control. Thanks for sharing. MMA guys would be wise to adopt this. Belly down back control is way better than belly up. You see guys defend belly up way easier. But it's a lot tougher to deal with belly down, especially with strikes. Look at Rashad vs Chael and Big Country vs Cro Cop.

Great transition. I usually go to spiderweb from the giftwrap/chairsit position, but people get wise to it. This gives me another (relatively safe) option...great post!

I am excited to play with this. Henry Atkins usually has very solid material. All that space he is giving his hips looks like he could shrimp or roll there. Of course I haven't played with it yet, and when I have it done to me I might think different.

I feel you on the shrimping, but I'm thinking that with that much control, it wouldn't be hard to follow the shrimper and still roll them onto their belly.

Got the arm 5 times tonight from watching the video one time. Me like. I forgot where to go after I got the arm (lol) but I will study it before Thursday night for sure.
