Why You Should Convert Your Music To 432 hz

    http://www.riseearth.com/2013/12/her...l#.Ur3_B7TWs4Q

I did convert a song to 432hz(timestretch), and I kept repeating just the first 2-3 seconds about 10x and then played the original. The original comparably sounded faster and more abrasive to listen to. There's also a app that will play your library in 432hz. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/432-...633600716?mt=8 I only played with it for a sec but it seems legit also. I would love to hear thoughts from Eddie or any other professional musician if it's something that they're going to/already incorporate into their music, and any other thoughts about the matter.

without going into the linked article,

I think you might be confusing Hertz in terms of musical pitch (oscillations/sec), with Hertz in terms of sampling rate (samples/sec).

I know they both have to do with music and they both use hertz (which is just a measure of frequency) so it confusing,

Interesting. Hopefully someone that knows more about it than us can save us the hassle of trying to figure all that out.

I was feigning humility, the author is confusing two very different things related to music. both happen to be measured in Hertz.

If you want to buy into what the article is talking about, try tuning your guitar to A at 432 instead of 440.

    There you go figured out.

Also, audio sampling rates are in kilo-hertz and instrument tuning is in hertz.

If you converted a song to 432 Hz instead of 432 kHz, it wouldn't even sound like music anymore.

CDs were recorded in 44,100 Hz, that's 44.1 kHz.

Also dont confuse this with bitrate which the the measurement many of us are used to associating with audio quality. It is measured in kilobit per second, even though its a x/second measurement, this is not Hertz since bitrate is not oscillatory or cyclical, whatever.

This is the source article which makes it clear that they are discussing the tuning of instruments not sampling rates.

I see whats up here, programs like Audacity can change the pitch of your songs to sound as if they were recorded with the instruments tuned to a 432 A tuning scale. A loss of audio quality occurs with most of these programs.

Sort of like auto-tune for the entire track.
