I wouldn't go recommending baiting at white belt level, but it's a great alternative to muscling through a roadblock. All in all, choosing a different path or route when reaching a dead end is what is supposed to be done, never force anything.
Couple of mine are: when on top side control, 1/4, or 1/2 guard, I bait people to get the undertook prematurely and with no angles.. I then proceed wih my whizzer game. D'arce usually, I do a JNT/d'arce hybrid, a guillotine, 100%, etc..
Also I have a sneaky turkey wrap I do off a "failed" kneebar. I invert from open guard to try a "sloppy" kneebar which I'm actually settin up the turkey wrap. Making sure my hips and all details are ready to turkey wrap 'em. They pass the guard/kneebar.... Right into my compression lock. I've landed this one on some notable badasses...who shall remain anonymous.
Honestly, giving underhooks and guard passes are not recommended. So use my examples as reference, don't let my bad jiujitsu ruin yours! Lol
