    Stoner control

What are some other options from there? I only know that the calf crank is there, but can you take the back from there? Any other finishing options? Especially ones that are ibjjf friendly

i try to avoid any cranks. it's not legal for my belt class, and when i used to do it in class, guys would tell me it's illegal and not to do it. but believe me, i see the openings and want to yank on that foot.

I used to get mad about getting jaw cranked and things that were "illegal" in competition but now if I get tapped, I get tapped. It's legit either way.

Yup yup. I agree totally. Definately the best mindset on this.. But if your instructor tells you no slicers, then no slicers.. . Gotta respect your coach.

Oh def gotta respect the coach's decision. It's good to have rules for the guys that may spazz into things and hurt someone. Aka newer guys.

The instructor has never personally said anything about it to me, i just don't want to instinctually go for it for competition reasons.
