Failed attempt at winning the tournament. Huge thanks to coach Adlai (hope everyone at HQ enjoyed his crucifix series)! Our game plan ran smooth as butter. Felt under control the entire time. Should have gone for the submission in the first match sooner and finish it quicker. Got only 5min between the matches and I gassed 2 min in the first one so not bad for an old man.

Match two. He got double underhooks while I was resting for my final explosion, so tried to super stump to cacoon for a butterfly sweep. What a lame attempt!

Little background
Winters are busy season for me, so I barely train and mostly party instead. Less than 4 weeks out of the tournament and 15lb over my weight class I decided to do it just to get in shape. At the end I made weight handily but I starved myself the week of the tournament. I also didn't have people to spar with. I only put in 3 rounds in week 3 of training. Not making excuses, this was dress rehearsal for NAGA on May 10th.
