When getting into the move you want to wrap across the top of your foot and this will bend it a bit, but once in hindu control you just want to be on your leg so there isn't any pressure on the foot. If your limbs are too short you might not have room there for it. You might also just need to hip out onto your right hip and get more angle.
One thing I didn't mention, a strong stache is highly recommended before attempting this move. Results will vary.
Is the choke a blood choke or a pain choke?
The problems I have with this control is definitely re: short limbs. But it seem like when you get into hindu, especially if you are going from NY, if they bring up their other arm you should be able to underhook the arm with your hindu arm and set-up the stocks, and playing from the stocks is fun no matter who you are.
