Beautiful technique from Ben. He went mission control, zombie, dead orchard, jiu claw, and finished with the oma. Eddie Bravo was in his corner and Ben thanked him in the post-fight interview. Though it has occurred in Strikeforce and Bellator, I believe this is the first ever omaplata in the UFC. Congratulations, Ben!

Sorry, But could someone explain to me exactly what "Dead Orchard" is? I saw a gif of it, but it looked like the standard mission control > Chill Dog > Jiu Claw > Omoplata.

Dead Orchard is when you lock the shoulder (like a triangle) and go for the arm bar.

Sick, nothing basic or simple about that, that was some high level RG "if/ then" paths. Mission control> trouble with zombie> muddy waters> dead orchard> should have challenged that DO armbar(probably could have finished there)> choose smashing elbows to open up Zombie instead> zombie> Jiu claw> omo. Dude has been doing his homework.
