Could a thicker mouth guard improve performance and brain activity for Jiu Jitsu

Video auto-starts at 2:45. Talk about this subject until about 12:00 minute area

Starts with showing examples of biting down helping with nervous system movement and mental disorders that modern medicine was unable to help with. Then gets to fMRI images showing how it alters brain networks and from biting down.

So got me wondering. Could Oral Orthotics increase movement performance for the average person. Could it make it harder to get knocked out or submitted by keeping specific parts of your brain more active than they would be without a thicker mouth guard in?

The rest of the vid is on direct current stimulation for enhanced brain performance. I think direct current and magnetic brain stimulation might be an undetectable advantage in sports. In the future high level athles might have to be moniterd 24 hours a day with a chip or something because of science advancements. Cybernetic eyes already exist. What will future athletes secretly have upgraded to be the best in the future? Ethics in sports is gonna get weird. Anything goes right, as long as its not against the rules

Seems like it could be a placebo thing but the science backs it up. Supposed to help with tmj. Something people punched in the jaw a couple times might know a little something about
