    Leglocks from the Cocoon

I'm familiar with getting to a leg reap position from and open, unclinched butterfly guard, but I'm having a hard time translating this when I use an overhook. You have to elevate your opponent, then let go of the overhook and pummel for an underhook so you can get to his legs, which I find usually gets me stuffed. Do you guys have a better way of doing it? Or do you just not go after the legs when using an overhook?

This should be useful for you. Haven't implemented it into my game yet, but I will soon

Wait for him to initiate. His momentum is easier to manipulate if you're ready to pounce on his movement, rather than forcing the issue

That video is fucking incredible. Not only is it blowing my mind with technique, but watching Eddie sit back and observe the monster that he's created is inspiring.

Only complaint is the audio levels are low..

Yeah, the guy that shot the video for mew that day had a different camera then the one I normally use and the volume levels were set differently.

Zog's youtube page is the first place I check out when I have leg lock questions, since he's already answered practically everything

Thanks man - that's very cool of you! I need a good place to start with foot locks. I've started to get a phobia about leg locks after some guy gave me a really bad sprained ankle rolling. That was a few months ago now, and I rolled with him again today, and I normally never go near his feet because of what happened, but I somehow just landed in a knee bar position and got it. I was talking to my coach about it afterwards and he said if you keep telling yourself you're afraid of leg locks, then you will end up afraid of leg locks, so you've just got to face it and dive in.

    Thanks!
