When u say control the underhook u mean underhook the guy on top or don't get underhooked?

Uhm, I don't think you're talking about Z guard there Arman?

There is so many answers on how to play Z guard/terra guard/shin shield/93 guard. I personally play it really low on the hip with the ankles crossed, it works a lot like RDLR. All methods have something in common, you use your top leg to keep distance/control the underhook. Do you have a more specific question on the position?

I've never seen double underhooks from z guard. I'll. look out for it. I also didn't know geo uses z guard as well. I thought he was a lockdown guy.

I love the shin guard variation for setting up deep double under hooks or electric under hooks - Geo used it really well when I rolled with him at a seminar, he really changed my opinion of the position

Yeah, from quarter z but that seems more like intermediate advanced. Fyi I dont know what star gazer position is but I'll look it up, thx.

Tristar Quebec and Tristar gym are two different gyms. We r located in Quebec City and just affiliated with them, Philippe DuPont is a bit more old school and mma / self defence oriented, we learn more of the new school stuff from nicolas Roy and maybe Stephane Lavoie but since we r affiliated with Tristar Philippe has been more open to stuff like dlr.

Hmm, I always thought Terra Guard & Z Guard were synonymous. Shows what I know. What's the difference?
