    Class instruction; input be great as I transition to improve No Gi class 90 min

    Hey hey;

    As I transition to improve my no Gi class I seek the previous experience of the 10th planet memebrs for some feedback. For years iv been following the same routine however Eddie has inspired me to look a jits in a whole new light and I request any positive input of what you have experienced or enjoy in a solid 90 min no Gi class.

    As it sits now;

    Warm up 15 mins
    Drills/reps 35 mins
    Rolling 30 mins
    Stretching 10 mins

    Weekends live rounds/rolling only.

    Sample class layout.

    Just my $0.02, but make rolling longer by combining warmup and drills and letting everyone stretch on their own after class.

    yeh, I do kinda feel let down if I can't get at least a solid 45 straight of rolling.

    I'm in the minority for sure because I dislike class being longer than 60 minutes. Most Marcelo classes are a tight 15 minutes warmup, 15 minutes of technique and 30 minutes of rolling. I do the Expert class most Monday nights as my only Gi class for the week and that was has about 45 minutes of rolling. It's unbearable for me...

    My academy only has a one hour nogi class twice a week with a 15min warmup followed by straight rolling; no technique. We have produced nogi world champions.

    Honestly if I did more rolling earlier I would have been much better. So drilling techs first is important. However it is more important to stretch BEFORE you start rolling to avoid injury.

    Sick! Just show up and roll for a few years and win titles, no training needed!

    There's a full schedule of instructional classes, they are just gi-focused.
