Chronic lower back pain affecting my training

Hey ya'll. For the past couple of years my lower back pain has steadily been getting worse. Every time I do something strenuous (weight lifting, rolling) it starts back up again. I don't know what to do. Weight lifting and jiu jitsu are a big part of my life. I can't just quit. I tried doing lower back pain exercises but nothing works. I've taken a month off to rest it but when I start back up again the pain returns. Recently I just decided to fight through the pain (fighters are almost always nursing an injury of some kind) and keep doing what I'm doing but the pain is getting more intense. Any advice? I tried talking to my doctor but he doesn't know fuck all.

Definitely keep working your lower back out... ie deadlifts, good mornings, glute-ham raises, etc. However, you also need to stretch AFTER your weightlifting, and include hamstring stretches from several angles, along with several hip stretches and calf stretches. Deep tissue and trigger point massage also helps.

I used to have horrible lower back problems, but after I stretched my entire posterior chain (calves, hamstrings, hips, back) for several months, I have not had a problem since.

Don't over stretch your back.. I used to have similar troubles. Since I stopped popping my back and over stretching it, it has reduced the pain somewhat. Also like the others have said: weed and yoga. I'm not an expert so take it for what its worth.

Certainly will make you forget about your back for a bit I think weed would be a better alternative though
