I am a vegetarian and my views are simple. People naturally eat meat. It is healthy, you need a good protein source, eating meat is part of our nature. So I have nothing against eating meat. I don't bash or blame people who do. I just don't eat meat.
Why? Well my reasons are fairly simple. I think it is morally wrong to get animals born with the sole purpose of product, it is labelled on them as soon as they are born and being eaten is the only purpose they have then. In nature there is a fight, a test between skill, a fight, a chase, an ambush. And with THAT I am fine just as I am fine with the idea that when I am outdoors a cougar could try to eat me because that is part of nature. Hell I have eaten animals I killed in nature so I am a weird kind of vegetarian.
It is just that as SOON as you buy that packaged meat your are giving money to the mass producing companies that they can spend on expanding their business and that is what I don't wan't to support.
Just as with voting you make a tiny, tiny difference, but a difference nonetheless.

Roughly 96% of the carbon dioxide entering the atmosphere each year is from nature, not human activity. The total carbon-dioxide emissions from biological sources—animals, plants, fungi and microbes—dwarf those from fossil fuels (32 billion tons) and amount to some 800 billion tons a year. So lets stop eating meat... and plants!

Also very interest thing I saw was a goat herder somewhere in eastern Europe and once in a while she would kill one of the goats for food right in front of the whole herd and they didn't seem to bother because in general the herd profited from this goat herder who gave them food and protection. So they probably thought that food and protection is a good trade for losing a member of the herd every couple of months.
PS: they could all easily run away there was no fence or anything.

I thought plants (and a whole rainforest) took carbon dioxide and turned it into oxygen with the photosynthesis process? And animals did it the other way around, Breath oxygen in and breath carbon dioxide out.
Am I wrong or have people been lying to me?

If people choose to (or not to) eat meat, that is a free choice. Its not anyones business what people eat or do not eat. They could drink poison (alcohol) and its not my business or concern. I've never wanted to regulate anyones behavior unless its dangerous to me.

Its the same argument as saying people should not be Gay. Its a choice again and not my business.

All those people who eat crap on scat porn. They get off on it. Its not my business what they do as long as they do not harm me. If I had a fragile mind and it offended me I may pick up a sign and stand on a corner with some BS on it. I say eat as much shit as you like scat people! Bon Appétit ;-)
People drinking alcohol can be dangerous to you. You've never run into a drunk asshole looking for a fight?
All I'm saying is that vegetarians aren't helping anyone by boycotting meat. Instead they should be supporting free-range farms.
