Ordering 10th planet stuff in UK

Hello everyone.
I have a question aimed at the UK members of the forum. I've ordered a 10th Planet rashguard from melee

Rashguard: $52.00
Postage: $24.00
Total: $76.00 or £49.99

I've now been sent a letter from Parcelforce asking for another £23.75 to clear customs! This means this rashguard will now cost me a total of £73.74 or $114. What a joke!

Anyone else have this problem? Its a nice rashguard, but not that nice. I think it's going to have to go back...

Hi James, I had the same problem. Next time please ask them to tick it as a gift so you wont pay the customs fee. But don't go mad and don't order too much in one parcel. Steven and Stevie from Melee are always happy to help. Believe me, they do care about customers. I ordered a lot of 10th planet stuff from them and had no problem with it.

If you read the 'fineprint' you will see that nowadays it doesn't matter if they tick or send items as a gift, there is still the possibility you will get the customs charges. I swear it happens to me every time i order from the states. Especially when being delivered via parcelforce or ups. Fucking sucks! :-)
