I've only been at one seminar with Eddie but his teaching style really surprised me. Regarded as a laid back stoner his teaching style is surprisingly persistent, uncompromising, and thorough. I just remember some kid fucking up a move and eddie was jabbing his arm with his foot, "Use your right arm. Use your right. Is that your right arm? Use your right arm? Awesome, now hook the arm. See it's easy." the poor kid was shitting his pants having his idol poke and prod his technique but at the end the little dude felt like he just solved the craziest algebra problem on the planet and was probably the happiest he had ever been in his life once he reached the approval of eddie bravo.
probably nerve wracking for the kid, but that brutal uncompromising honesty is what makes us better and you'll be damned sure he'll never fuck up that move again. it's no wonder he's putting out so many quality students.
