First of all, this forum has been very helpful in my quest to learn the art- so thanks to everyone for all the post! I need some assistance and want to ask the forum for input to make sure I’m leaving no stone unturned. In highschool I developed a love for grappling from wrestling that I’ve been unable to suppress or forget. Naturally I begin to pursue JJ and basically engulfed it in college. Since then I met my wife and started a family, which brings me to my current dilemma. I’ve tried to suppress my passion for JJ with crossfit, running, and just getting in shape. None have worked. Unfortunately, I cannot afford my BJJ classes any longer. I’ve tried searching craigslist for guys looking to roll, posted on here hoping there is a 10th planet guy in my area, but all have lead to nothing. Now I’m left with some Bravo DVD’s, books, and my stretches. Any input would be greatly appreciated—if you notice maybe something I could try and seek out please let me know.
