Frank Mir says that his Jiu Jitsu is too Gi-oriented

In a prefight interview with Joe Rogan, Frank Mir says that he initially thought that he was just undersized. Then working with different trainers, he came to the conclusion that his Jiu Jitsu was as he put it, "Lazy, too gi-oriented". Interesting.

He's made a lot of humble opinions about himself lately. Especially during the seminar that Ari filmed for Submission 101. He talked about working on his wrestling, and how Brock beat him with superior skill. A lot of people characterize Mir as arrogant but his critical objective view of himself after every loss really demonstrates quite the opposite.

Im a huge Mir fan. Hes a big guy who fights with technique and style, not size and I like his philosophy on fighting.

I fell in love with Mir after the win over Big Nog. It was like watching Jimmy Chitwood in Hoosiers. Probably my favorite moment in MMA history. His wife screaming cageside. Mir's speech after the win was awesome. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.
