    Twister Pass Counter??

So the Twister pass really shuts down my lockdown game. If a guy has good Kimuras or guillotine you have to be constantly worried about defending those, and the pass too. What are some good ways from bottom 1/2 to counter the twister pass?

this is an old vid but rather then trying to type out what I mean I figured it would just be easier to show you. 2:06 of this vid is what I like to do. I am pretty sure I saw Eddie do it on MTS. That is how I learned it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yz1Ub_u4P4E

Damn. Can't load vid for mobile. Are you pushing and escaping immediately?

Also stop him from turning. He's gonna need space to make that turn, don't give him that space. Time it to explode and pummel in your underhook. Counter by prevention.

    1. Don't go dhere *in my best Royce voice*

    2. Hit the heisman as he turns into position.

    3. Threaten with an arm triangle as soon as he turns. This won't work if you let him settle in. If you threaten correctly he will turn back towards you, don't let him turn back

This is why I think the twister pass is such a great choice while in top half, it's so hard to stop when mastered

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I can't really think of counters as much as I can think of ways to avoid getting there altogether. In my own head I never even consider myself to have lockdown without perfect double unders or fat whip. If I'm flat on my back I feel like I'm only 30%to my goal.

Alex, I'd say a good deal of your trouble will be solved by getting to your side and getting to perfect double unders.

Also, I have seen Marcelo sit all the way up and roll you the other way when you try to pass that way. Basically he sits up as you pass and then he bumps you and when you go to smash him back down he rolls the other way.
