Oldest student in class?

I had a guy come in who is 62 and never rolled a day in his life. He used to be a pretty bad ass karate guy back in the 70's but hasn't done any kind of martial arts for years. He says he wants to get back into it to stay young which I thought was awesome. I was just curious how old is the oldest guy in the gym yalls is at?

i know one of our coaches must be turning 51 this year but apart from that the ages are from 5-40 with most of them around 20-30

I've got Bill who is 60 I believe. He's a high school teacher and has a black belt from Korea. He's been with me for 2 years now and is down to roll 7 days a week with anybody who comes through the door :-).

I have an old guy, probably late sixties our early seventies, from ,Holland that rolls at my gym occasionally. He is an old judo guy, black belt I believe and blue belt in bjj. Very strong and loves to reverse people from turtle and sets up a wicked north south choke from there. He does not like anyone touching his legs though, so no truck to deal with turtling up.

We had a few that were around 50, but one moved bc of work. He was the only one that did JJ, the others did striking mainly and they were private only guys.

I used to train with a blue belt that was in his mid-sixties. He couldn't really roll but the guy had great technical knowledge. His cardio was insane also when he did the fitness classes. Dude was and still is a total inspiration to me. Hope I'm still on the mat at 65!
