That's what I thought happened at first too, but if you watch again Ryan actually drops down for the double leg and the guy sprawls, which allows Ryan to cut to his back. I would like to see Ryan matched up against an opponent that would be closer to his skill level, since this guy doesn't seem to have much takedown defense or ground experience.
