1. Dude, he's 14.
2. Statistics seem to indicate that there is no significant advantage to working for a takedown over pulling guard.
3. NOTHING works very well against "tougher dudes." That's why they're tougher dudes.
4. I wouldn't consider what Manny does "just laying down." He's an offensive machine within his age group and weight class, and even in the age and weight class above him.
5. Watch Eddie's competition videos. Then make the same comment. He made it work against some tough dudes, as have countless others including Marcelo Garcia, Jean Jacques Machado, the Miyao Brothers, Mendes Brothers, Michael Langhi, etc...
6. Since you're quick to criticize a 14 year old, I'd be honored to have you provide video evidence of yourself or anyone of your students utilizing your strategy in a competition match.
