    The issue with "flexible ankles" is generally because most don't use their core along with the two way motion I describe in the video above. When done incorrectly, by using their arms, it creates far too much space which allows flexibility to become an issue.

    A few years ago I had one of the top guys in the sport drop by my Academy while in town filming an instructional DVD. He would be considered one of the "types" John is referring too. I tapped him with a toe hold without issue.

    I'm having trouble pulling off marcelotines, people dont tap right away, but im only forcing 80%, i dont want to hurt their troughts for days. Hpw much do u force marcelotines?

    0% Force, Marcelotines are pure technique and not difficult at all. Your arm positioning is probably off. I sucked and the old style guillotine, however that has all changed since using the marcelotine. Soon as I started getting my elbow under my opponents chin, my percentages shot up dramatically.
