Nice read, however,

Watch how a golden gloves champion out boxed him with ease. This is down not only to Gustafssons' intelligent boxing but also Jones style. Having a muay thai based stance requires you to square you're hips up more than a boxing stance does in order to throw the powerful roundhouse kicks. This effectively 'opens the gate' and leaves a bigger target for the opponents to hit. Gustaffason has a more bladed stance which is far superior in the boxing range and gives him a scientific advantage every time they engage. Each time you engage with Bones you need to keep technical with the striking, generally entering with a jab and then opening the gate to throw you're combination before exiting with a lead hook/ jab and closing the gate.
