I just wanted to big up 10th Planet!!! MTS works!!!
I have been watching the MTS religiously it has changed my game!
I train gi & nogi, but I prefer nogi. Usually I do the techniques without the gi
But I became excited about the Japanese Necktie so I tried it with the gi.
And it is a bad ass move…I hate when people turtle up on me… well I did now when they do it I just go right to the necktie. And it happened just like Eddie explains it!!! Eddie and 10th keep doing what you’re doing.

Ya, also hitting the japanese necktie from when people try to get to their knees from under half guard is just right there, and it twists even more than from turtle because you have the far leg hooked. That move is no joke.

Which episode of MTS shows the Japanese Necktie when your opponent is turtling up? Is it in an episode specifically or did you just decide to use the JN in that situation and it worked? I never thought of going JN against a turtle guard but bigger guys turtle up on me all the time and I end up stuck trying to take the back and I always fail... if it's not in an episode specifically can you give me a brief step by step that works for you? Thanks!! :-)

The funnest part is when you start standing, drag them down to their knees with nothing but an underhook and a shitty darce, and then turn it into a sprawl control japanese necktie before you hit the mat. You just look like a savage douche that's brutally ripping someone to their knees and strangling them to death. It's awesome.
