After I started playing with flying submissions I started realizing that the positions and attacks were the same and that it was the grips that defined the options. The only variables that you have to adjust for is gravity and your opponents posture. The posture break and the attack usually have to happen at the same time or the attack fails. So like, off of an overhook you can jump and catch a flying chill dog landing halfway to an omoplata by the time you hit the floor.

It all sounds simple in theory but you know how that goes. Practice until you can do them without spitting up a kidney.

How do you set that up? Do you try to pull them down and then hit it or push them until they step in? I always have a rough time with Osotogari and usually end up switching to the lateral drop once they set their legs back.

When i get the collar tie i like to attach the head to my like collar bone area step back then step leaning foward for the sweep most of the throws i do i prefer getting control of the head going one way then exploding back the other.

Its all about breaking ur opponents balance alot of traditional jiujitsu guys dont get standing locks practically cause they dont break the guys balance first i feel thats the key.
