That's like a weird variation of a triangle... Had to be more of a crank than a choke... The way the arm is positioned all the squeeze would go to his shoulder...idk
At that angle, I can't imagine that Marcelo thought he was in danger for that reverse triangle and he seemed to keep his arm in too long. That other guy did a great job of snagging an off angle shitty reverse triangle and then being tenacious enough to correct it into a solid reverse triangle.
Marcelo got caught. But it also looks like he was going about 20%.
I have seen him tap to lower belts during training...he doesnt view it as a big deal, and just keeps rolling.
Old post, but I still think it's cool. The sub he hit looks effective though. I mean, landing an inverted triangle on a 20% marcelo is still impressive. Hahah.
