As for fish out of water syndrome, it just means you haven't been introduced to the concepts of escaping side control. All in due time. Best to get yourself a private lesson from an instructor to key in on what you need to work on and how to use the attributes you are given.

Don't get hard on yourself, one step at a time.
thank you again i know how to escape its all the other people in the class are smaller and there for are quicker than me ( wouldn't take a lot any way )

thats another problem i have if i cant do any thing fairly easy i get pissed off

and on a lighter not my instructor and my self will be going through this forum and making a list of the advice and working through it one step at a time

I'd Say If you get some free time, I'd work on your Butterfly/sit up guard. Because I feel its one of the areas you have to work on correct technique much more than OK technique Combined with physicality, And being a bigger guy myself I know how easily one can fall into the trap of muscling a technique without realizing it, but that's just my opinion

Being get me wrong, personally I love the arm triangle, but I do kinda place it in this category. Personally I don't see much of the Americana get used outside the white belt and heavyweight divisions.

I normally do a great job of upsetting everyone and still not getting my point understood, I truly hope this post does not follow suit.

Good advice. Its tempting when you start out to try and "win" at rolling by using your size and strength just to get submissions. It makes you feel like your getting better, when in reality you're stalling the learning process. I wouldn't avoid them all together, just learn them and move on. I probably would have kept doing those same moves had coach not stressed starting on the back so much. I'd recommend big guys work on rubber guard just to remind themselves every day how much they need to work on flexibility, and when your not flexible it really forces you to learn perfect technique

Left unchecked this will be the end of you Jiu jitsu wise. None of it is easy. The only parts that are easy are the parts that have been slaved over and even they were nothing like easy.

There are no big lazy world champs I can think of.

This pretty much says it all. Your style in general is really influenced by your body type, so use what you have to your advantage. Learn how to make your opponent bare your weight. More weight = more pressure when you know how to distribute it. Check out Cyborg Abreu's knee on belly stuff. He really knows how to crush guys with it. Also, Ryan Hall's arm triangle DVD is very informative. Aside from that, MTS all day. Best of luck!
