    Shoulder drop and ear to the back that is ggreat.... one more thing sometimes when your on top and in half guard and your trying thismove they have thier other knee blocking you in ur stomach...advice?

    Shouldn't matter you have to tie off their leg anyway, they are just making it easier by feeding it to you.

    Thanks for all the replies, guys. I'll start dropping the shoulder on tuesday . Mike, I usually take the bottom leg. I can't recall trying the top one, but I think that your opponent could resist harder when you have the top leg, because he'd have space behind that hip to push. And he could push against you with his bottom leg. I'm not sure how easy it is to visualise that by reading it.

    I never hook the bottom leg, I always hook the top. I tried the bottom while drilling and it took more strength.
