ya so I got put in an armbar (left arm) grabbed my hand before he could crank the arm, turned towards the guy then took my outside foot and used it to pry his hands off my arm, then I rolled out toward him. it was hilarious.

so more experienced people... my question is.. is this a move that exists already, could it be a legit escape (it worked once apparently), or am I just a homoerotic retard who thinks this is cool?

I'd say that 80% of the time that when you get out of submission it's actually because of what they didn't do and not what you did.

this doesn't always work brian had it right but your feet aren't used enough i do all kinds of crazy strange escapes and sweeps don't just give up on the move try it a few more times and you'll know if it works or not.

I rely on what they dont do all the time. escape triangles armbars gogo platas armaplatas, all kinds of stuff i let them go for so i can get to where i want to be. Jiu Jitsu is a game of chess.

I don't think he was that smart cause I took his back right after.

I use my feet to help defend a lot of things, triangles, armbars, guillotines, whatever. Always better to not be in that situation, but if you get put there then use what you have to defend escape and counter.

not sure about that, if I didn't defend my neck at all I'm pretty sure my 9yo niece could put me to sleep. Mistakes count for a lot, but what you do with it matters just as much. Sometimes they may not make a mistake, but if you work harder, faster and smarter you can survive and escape.
