hmm.. i cant tell if that was just a troll post or if u are actually wanting to have a discussion about this.. So ill just go with it and see how it turns out :P As for them doing them jobs properly or they wouldnt have jobs.. You have to realize.. these arent doctors or professional athletes.. They are in a much different branch of occupations. When it comes to the government or major corporations.. You'll find that your idea and their idea of "doing their job" are two completely different things. For instance take any of the countless politicians who are still in office simply because they refuse to do their job correctly. There job is to voice the opinions of the people who elected them.. but it seems often times once they are in.. they tend to bend to the desires of whoever controls the money. People are getting paid off all the time to write new legislation that will help these large corporations, but hurt the middle/working class. And they dont get fired because they are making their employers money. So in a sense.. yes, they are doing 1 part of their job correctly, making money.. But often times its due to illegal/shady actions that are negatively effecting a large number of the population. As for the banks setting people up to lose their houses.. There are actually specific guidelines they are supposed to follow to ensure that doesnt happen. (dont give loans to people who they know do not have the means to pay them back) One of the reasons you are asked how much you make when you apply for a loan. There is a system set up that is supposed to help guide people to make the right decision on getting the loan that they can afford. Instead.. we see emails from these banks who are PURPOSEFULLY waving the lack of ability to pay and allowing them to get into financial trouble. Granite I think people should be responsible and take their money in their own hands anyway.. so that doesnt happen.. but unfortunately a lot of people dont understand all that goes into financing. (the whole reason they hire people to help them). And these people they hire are not doing their jobs. As for the handful of people.. I dont know.. If thats the case those are some BIG hands. Theres thousands in NY right now.. and you have to think.. thats just the ones that have the means to get there. And when i say rebel i dont mean stand in a street and protest. I hear people ALL the time who are tired of having their money, retirement, and social security taken from them. And want the system to change. But.. these are just my opinions.. it could be you are correct.. and that the banks and government are morally sound and do their best to look out for our best interests rather than their pay checks.. But i guess we'll just have to wait and see. Time will tell
