10th Planet Mt. Pleasant, TX
10th Planet Mount Pleasant is the first 10th Planet school in Northeast Texas, also servicing the bordering areas of Arkansas, Louisiana and southeastern Oklahoma. We specialize in providing quality, large city resources while still being located in a small town and making that accessible to anyone who wants the best training possible.
Our program is lead by professional grappler Tony Oviedo. Coach Tony is a Brown Belt under 10th Planet San Diego founder and Jiu Jitsu legend Richie “Boogeyman” Martinez, earning his rank through constant competing, traveling and teaching, having started his journey in 2007. He believes that Jiu Jitsu can change the world and goes through every effort to test and educate himself and then share his knowledge back home with his students. His goal is to build great teams of 10th Planet Freaks at every age level, spread the 10th Planet system into a new area of Texas/ArkLaTex and change lives in the process. Additionally, Coach Tony seeks to be a well-rounded martial artist and constant learner, having had the opportunity to compete in Golden Gloves boxing and is an instructor in Bang Muay Thai.
