Interesting point about the liver kick. Saw two fights in Calgary last year on the same card that ended from a liver kick and one from a liver punch. Knocked the guys out, like now. No legs. Targeting is critically important in striking and liver shots are game enders.

Anderson silva just landed that exact front kick with the ball of his foot to shogun’s chin and that was what dropped him. Proving It’s effective and a bad ass kick. Hella funny that Joe is explaining how this is gonna start poppin up in mma fights only to have Silva drop shogun with it a month later. Way to be ahead of the curve guys.
Jones* did that to Shogun, didn’t drop him. Anderson did it to Vitor Belfort*, and knocked him out. (tko)

The first time the public saw Marcelo do his guillotine was at ADCC 2007 when he faced George Sot. and Mike Fowler. Why would anyone say the first time the “Marcelo” guillotine was done was in 2009 when Leo Vieira did it? Late pass. That’s fine, but Marcelo had a whole DVD out on his guillotine in 2007. Just goes to show how it took people so long to figure out what he was doing was different.
Excellent instruction of the Marcelo guillotine though. Beautifully executed and taught!

the upward motion of the kick has a small impact point but no force can transfer backwards through the leg if it connects,magnifying the effects at Taekwonjoe the neck doesnt move the head does!
